Civil and commercial litigation is the court file: a claim, a defence, evidence, and a judge. It is not a press release and it is not a negotiation that happens to use court paper. UAEAZ conducts civil and commercial cases for individuals and companies before the competent courts in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE.
The first question is always the same. What is the cause of action, in which court, against whom, and with which documents? Until those four answers are honest, filing is theatre.
Matters we litigate
Instructions commonly include:
- unpaid invoices and supply-of-goods claims
- breach of commercial contracts and agency arrangements
- shareholder and joint-venture disputes
- professional negligence and service-contract claims
- guarantees, cheques connected to a civil debt, and related attachments
- claims against and by UAE companies, including free-zone entities where the onshore court is the right forum
Where the file belongs in DIFC or ADGM rather than onshore courts, we say so. Filing in the wrong forum wastes a year.
How a UAE civil file actually moves
Statements of claim, memoranda, expert reports and translations have their own rhythm. Deadlines are not decorative. We prepare the evidence in the form the court will read — not the form that feels complete in a board paper — and we tell you when a settlement window is real and when it is a delay tactic.
Licensed advocates appear where court advocacy is required. The rest of the file — evidence, translations, corporate authorities and enforcement planning — is prepared with the same care.
Before you file
A legal notice, a limitation question, and a proper defendant are cheaper than a claim that has to be recast. If you already have a case number, bring it. If you do not, we will tell you whether you should.
